We are seeking a hands-on Technical Manager to oversee all infrastructure operations across luxury lodges and staff villages in Botswana, focusing on solar energy, water systems, and general maintenance. This bush-based role combines sustainability, systems management, team leadership, and strategic planning.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead maintenance across power, water, buildings, and infrastructure.
• Manage solar installations, electrical networks (single & three-phase), water purification and treatment systems.
• Oversee construction and CAPEX projects; supervise contractors and Artisans.
• Recruit and train technical staff; foster a culture of accountability and pride in work.
• Develop and manage budgets, procurement, and maintenance schedules.
• Drive sustainability initiatives, reducing energy use and ensuring high audit scores.
• Conduct daily maintenance meetings; track progress and ensure task completion.
Requirements:
• Formal qualifications or certifications in Electrical, Solar Installation, or Mechanical Maintenance preferred.
• 3–5 years in senior technical/maintenance roles (hospitality preferred).
• Strong experience in solar, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems.
• Able to read technical plans.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in remote, high pressure environments.
