SERVICE DEVELOPMENT SUPERVISOR
JOB SUMMARY
To directly supervise all Configuration, Service and Product developers and collaborates with business to ensure products and services are delivered per agreed service level agreement.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
• *Configuration and Product Development:* Ensures timely and accurate configuration of products and services according to specification and established procedures and SLA between the business and billing department. Collects business requirements, and coordinates implementation of strategic business projects per business plan.
• *Demand and Release Management:* Ensures the planning, scheduling, testing, and deployment of developed products and services as well as software releases.
• *Innovation:* Investigates new solutions and opportunities to improve processes and alignment to good practice within the department.
• *Budgeting:* Contributes and provides inputs for departmental budget and controls and monitors expenditure.
• *Team Management:* Supervises and oversees the performance of the configuration and product development team and ensures the team is adequately trained and developed.
• *Communication:* Communicates with business units on the release schedule of requested products and services and effectively collaborates with business on related products and services matters.
• *Quality Management:* Measures and monitors the time taken to develop and launch new products or services and tracks the costs associated with developing new products or services. Ensures adherence to the company quality management system.
• *Safety, health, and environment:* Ensures the department adheres to the safety, health, and environment standards, policies, and procedures of the company.
KEY COMPETENCIES

The chosen candidate should also have Customer Orientation and Stakeholder Management expertise. The role also requires Supervision and Delegation as well as Networking and Building Collaborative Relationships.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in IT/Engineering or Related Field.
• Relevant Professional Certifications (CTQM, ITIL, Agile, etc.) would be an Added Advantage.
• Minimum of 7-10 years practical work experience related to Telecommunications Charging or Billing systems and BSS platforms.
• Proven experience of team leadership or supervision, release, and configuration management as well as products and service development within a Telco. Preferred industries include Telecommunications, Information Technology (IT).
