SALES CONSULTANT - (Online, Mobile & Financial Collections)
Reports to: Regional Manager Botswana
Location: Gaborone – working remotely – must be able to travel throughout Botswana.
Type: Full-time
Main Purpose of the Job
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving new business acquisition within the payments industry. This position will focus on identifying, engaging, and onboarding merchants who can benefit from our advanced payment solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of the payments and/or financial services landscape, must have strong sales experience, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients.
Key Performance Areas
New Business Development: Proactively identify and target potential payment merchants in Botswana.
Product Expertise: Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the payment products available to merchants within the National Payments System.
Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Accurately track sales activities, manage pipeline, and provide regular reports and forecasts to sales management. Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure a seamless client experience and contribute to product enhancements based on market feedback.
Achieve Sales Targets: Consistently meet or exceed assigned sales quotas and performance metrics.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
Highly self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and adapt to evolving market conditions.
Qualifications
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business in Marketing, Business
Administration, Sales Management or related field.
Experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Sales
• Proven experience in getting new partnerships, channels, or enterprise
solutions.
• Willingness to travel frequently across the country.
• Candidate must have a car and valid driver's license
• Demonstrated ability to prospect, qualify leads, conduct compelling
presentations, negotiate effectively, and close deals. Proven track record of
achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Ability to manage strategic relationships and cross-functional initiatives.
