VACANCY REPUBLIC OF BOTSWANA MINISTRY OF SPORT AND ARTS EXTERNAL ADVERTISEMENT VACANCY CIRCULAR NO. 4 OF 2025 The Ministry of Sport and Arts invites applications from talented, decisive, self-driven and qualified citizens of Botswana to fill the following vacant positions tenable in the Ministry Headquarters: COORDINATOR TRANSFORMATION OFFICE (1 POST) SALARY SCALE: E1 (P512,148 – P532,860) per annum. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB To provide leadership in strategy planning and development and performance monitoring & evaluation of policies, programmes and projects. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS 1. Provides professional advice on strategy formulation, monitoring and evaluation. 1. Advises the Organisation on the impact of policies and strategies the Ministry is implementing and guides on the best implementation approach. 1. Coordinates the development of Ministry’s Strategic Plan and Annual Performance Plan. 1. Oversees the cascading of Ministry’s Annual Performance Plan. 1. Oversees the implementation of the Ministry’s Strategic Plan and Annual Performance Plan 1. Oversees development of performance management framework, associated guidelines, toolkits and templates to facilitate effective, consistent, and proper application of the system. 1. Oversees the implementation of performance management and development system, related incentives and recognition interventions to drive employee engagement, motivation and productivity. 1. Oversees the development and implementation of evaluation, research and sector statistical plans. 1. Oversees the design of data collection tools, data collection and analysis strategies. 10 Establishes links with Ministry Departments and Parastatals and other stakeholders to identify policy areas for evaluation and research. 11 Advocates for adoption of evaluation and research findings and oversees implementation of recommendations. 12. Identifies opportunities for reforms, advocates for their implementation and oversees implementation of change management framework. 13 Oversees the development and sustainment of strategic partnerships with relevant stakeholders. 14Oversees the development and implementation of advocacy and capacity building programmes on relevant areas. 15 Jointly agrees performance objectives and targets and signs performance agreements with staff, undertakes performance reviews in accordance with the performance management system. 16 Provides professional guidance, coaching and mentoring. QUALIFIED APPLICANT’S PROFILE To be considered for appointment to this position, candidates must have the following qualifications; • Degree in Strategic Management/Monitoring and Evaluation/Public Policy/Social Science (Economics, Statistics) and or related field. Master’s Degree in any of the above will be an added advantage. Applicants should have a minimum of sixteen (16) years post qualification experience of which two (2) years of which must have been served at E2 salary scale in Government or equivalent level in the Private Sector/Parastatal Organisation.
